The Mining Museum and the Climatic Gallery in Predoi
Copper extraction begun in Predoi about 1400 years ago. You can now ride on a small train that takes you down 1000 meters below the mountain to explore the original extraction galleries. Multimedia presentation, videos, information posters, items and reconstructions of the mining site’s activities support the visit.
The famous Predoi Climatic gallery is 1.100 m underground inside the mountain. This is a very special wellness oasis where the unique microclimatic conditions have a positive effect on the respiratory system. Everyone’s invited to benefit from this climatic miracle while laying in one of the deckchairs that have been arranged in the gallery.
